DATAPLOT

Dataplot was written by James J.Filliben and Alan Heckert of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Usa.
Dataplot is a public domain software, written in Fortran 77, and it is available for Unix, Linux and Windows. It is mostly useful for researchers and analysts. Its user interface is based on input from command line, as it happens in R and MacAnova.
The main functions Dataplot performs in statistics are:
· Descriptive Statistics
· Regression
· Time Series Analysis
· Multivariate Analysis
· Factorial Analysis
Dataplot can open only Ascii files, so if you want to import data from a spreadsheet, you need to save them before in this format.
Dataplot is an extensible software by the addition of macro, or (thanks to his open-source license) by the direct modification of the source code.
